You must have completed stage one and stage two in order to enroll onto this course.
This is a continuation of our Qasida Burdah Course 2024. This term we will complete Chapter six and Chapter Ten
Students will learn how to sing the chapter and play basic rhythms along to the melody.
On completion of all chapter of the burdah, students will receive a certificate of completion.
Our courses have been specifically designed to teach the unique drumming style of Pearls of Islam and their influences incorporating technique and style from the daff, djembe, and the darbouka tradition
Taught and led by Sakinah Lenoir. Sakinah has been playing with her group Pearls of Islam for over 15 years and has 10 years experience in teaching drumming and nasheeds
This course will go ahead with a minimum of four students
Open to ages 8 to 13 years old.
FAQs
Is this class online?
Yes, this class will take place online via Zoom. It will be a group class with a minimum of 5 students. Our classes are not able to go ahead unless there is a minimum of 5 students signed up.
DO you record your classes?
Classes are not recorded, however you will have access to our student portal which includes videos of all the rhythms and songs that you will cover during the course. However our on-demand Drumming and Nasheed 101 course, provides pre-recorded classes for you to enjoy at your own pace in your own time.
Do I need a Drum for the class
Yes, it is recommended for you to have a drum for the session. We welcome all types of drums. A djembe, darbouka or a Daff would be ideal but whichever is easiest for you to access. If you don’t have a drum you can also use a pot lid, celebration tin etc. Get creative! Don’t use it as an excuse not o join us.

DO you offer any discounts?
We are not financially able to offer any discounts as our courses are priced at the bare minimum to ensure accessibility to as many people as possible. However payment plans are available, you can pay in three monthly payments.
What happens once I complete the course?
We have three stages of the Drumming and Nasheed Essential Course. Once you have completed all three stages and have passed your assessment, you will be able to sign up to receive a certification of completion.
